Royal North Devon Golf Club
Royal North Devon at Westward Ho! can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of England. The golf course is as tough as any of the UK’s better-known links and is ranked at number 69 in Golf Monthly’s Top 120 Course Rankings and it also features in Golf World’s Top 100 courses in the world that every golfer “must play”·
On Sunday afternoon 8th January 2012, Long time Club member Kate Brown was installed as President of the Club for 2012. Kate was handed the Presidents medal by 2011 President Ted Tithecott during the Officers installation ceremony infront of an excellent turnout of Club members. Many of whom had played in the "Officers Installation Greensomes Stableford". Kate spoke to all present and described her delight and honour at being asked to be President,
Starting from Saturday 1st October the restaurant will be open from 8.30 a.m. EVERY DAY, and breakfast will be available from this time. Sunday lunch starts on Sunday 2nd October and also a full menu will be available throughout Sundays. Tables can be reserved through the office until The Restaurant opens for business again on Saturday 1st October.
Booking for Sunday Lunch is essential - we are full most weeks so please plan ahead !
The Social Diary
At the Club we have a fantastic Social calendar which is open to members and non members alike. The entertainment is run by Maurice Heather and frequently involves your entertainment and a meal for around £15. The New Years eve ball for 2012 is selling fast and has become a favourite haunt for members.
