Boys County Golf Championships

RND Boys take 1,2,3 in Scratch and also win the handicap !

RND Junior Boys competing in the Boys County Golf Championships at Churston GC produced an excellent performance to win both the 36 hole scratch and handicap events as well as the U16 boys event .

6 boys represented the club , Jimmy Mullen, Ollie Tanton, Kiaran Tanton, Michael Townshend, Anthony Mcgeorge and Bradley Smith, and after some superb golf played in excellent conditions RND produced a 1,2,3 in the scratch event with Jimmy Mullen becoming County Champion and taking the Andrew Trophy with· rounds of 68 and 68, Ollie Tanton was second with rounds of 75 and 68 and Anthony Mcgeorge 3rd with 73 and 71, which also won the boys U16 event for the Hilton Plate .

The handicap event was won by Bradley Smith with a net 2 round score of 137 and Kiaran Tanton produced an excellent 2nd round gross of 77 to finish second in the boys U14 gross.

Girls County Championships

RND Girls also competed in their championships at Exeter Golf and Country Club on the same day.

Amelia Daniel, Samantha Found Helena Standen, Lauren and Stephanie Finlan and Sophie Jarvis flying the flag for RND. Amelia was second in the U15 girls gross event and Helena Standen won the U15 net event with a score of 74 and Samantha Found was second in the U13 girls net event with a 71.
