 Royal North Devon Juniors - Class of 2011 - Following the recent news of the continued sponsorship of the Junior Section by local building supplies company RGB the junior section held a photo call to produce this years sponsors picture -  juniors who attend the regular weekend group coaching sessions run by Iain Parker are featured in this years photograph.

As winners of the North Devon Junior Golf League 2011 the junior team competed in the 4 team Henry Truscott Cup held recently at Wrangaton GC. The team included Captain and Vice Captain Jimmy Mullen and Ollie Tanton together with U14 County and Junior Academy Players Kiaran Tanton , Michael Townshend, Tyler Yarde and Bradley Smith . In a close contest the team registered a stapleford score of 162 (5 scores) but were not able to lift the trophy which went to Torquay GC . The target for next year retain the league trophy and go one better and win the Henry Truscott Cup.

The RND Junior section is extremely pleased that local firm RGB have decided to continue their support of RND's young golfers. This will be the 5th year that they have been involved with the junior section during which time many of our youngsters have achieved success in both local and national competitions, their support is greatly appreciated by all those involved with the juniors.

5 RND Juniors represented the club in the South West Regional Finals of the EGU National Skills Challenge at Farrington GC. Samantha Found , Ethan Sumner, Gabbie Worthington, Bradley Smith and Helena Standen competed in the Tour section of the competition with all of them producing excellent results in difficult wet and windy conditions. Bradley Smith and Helena Standen took the honours by winning the boys and girls competion with Craig Townshend Regional Development Manager for the Devon Golf Partnership on hand to witness an excellent performance by Devon golfers

 
RND Juniors bowed out of this years Basil Steer Trophy at the Quarter Final stage losing 2-1 to Honiton GC in a very close contest
