At first glance this hole (burn) looks like quite an easy start to the round. However any errant shots will be severely punished by the inescapable burns that criss-cross the hole and the wiry rough to the left of the hole known as FUG! A good tee shot should be aimed at the telegraph pole in the distance and the prevailing wind will bring it back to the centre of the fairway. For the long hitters the green is on in two but be aware that the ditch in front of the green is very much in play the further left you aim. The average player should lay up on the left side of the fairway and pitch on. Two putts on a relatively flat green should secure a solid opening par.
