The 17th Hole - Road

A long par 5 that plays all of its 555 yards. A long tee shot is essential to help with the positioning of the lay up for the second shot. The lay up should be played down the left hand side of the hole to leave a shorter and easier pitch shot to the green. The third shot is played over the road and ditch to a green that sits facing you but then runs off to a lower tier at the back. The shot always plays half a club more than you think and will tend to land and stop on the green. Any pushed or pulled approaches will be gathered up by the bunkers either side.
