Another busy weekend of Golf & Socials at RND !!

Saturday was a little wet but that didn't dampen any spirits at the club at all!

The course is playing incredibly well, the green are amazing and as a result the scores in the Saturday Winter mixed Greensomes were superb with a couple of ladies groups doing really well towards the end just when Martin Butler and Robert Greenwood were writing their speeches! Congratulations to Pauline and Sahara on an excellent 43 points.

So Saturday went on late into the evening with the second visit to the Club of the Vox Beatles who filled the dancefloor for well over 2 hours, helping everyone to digest another fantastic buffet dinner.

The hangovers were tested thoroughly on Sunday morning for the annual President Vs Chairman Greensomes matchplay which was a multiple tee shotgun start for 108 men and Ladies in a well fought match followed by an enormous rare beef roast lunch. In his speech President Dick Ford announced very tactfully that the scores in the match didnt matter at all and then allowed Chairman Grenville to modestly announce his victory!!
