Event 2 - Winter Foursomes Series results
Event two of the Winter Foursomes Series took place on Sunday 2nd December on a blustery but thankfully dry day. The scoring was excellent with most pairs taking advantage of the scoring opportunities presented down wind, with today's event being played off the Red tees.
With an excellent score of 42 points the winning pair were Chris Drew and Martin Gibbs. 40 points meant Mark Luscombe and Steve Morrish took 2nd, with Martin Butler and Shaun Loze taking the third and final prize on count back from Paul De Noronha and Chris Hampton, with both pairs tied on 38. The cost is just £5 per event for those who have not yet signed up, with a guaranteed prize fund of £25 per player for the winning pair, £15 for 2nd, and £10 for 3rd. There is also a healthy prize pot to be won in the season long order of merit table.

If you haven’t played in the Winter Foursomes yet there is still time to get your 3 scores in to qualify for the final order of merit prizes. For any players thinking about wanting to play for the club in the upcoming season, the winter foursomes is a great way to meet other squad members and put yourself forward for selection.
