As of the 19th July, the following changes will occur due to the removal of some covid restrictions.

Course

The flagstick may now be removed or attended, the foam in the base will be removed.
The preferred lies rule in the bunkers for stroke play competitions has been removed. it will remain for general play and matchplay events.
The bunkers will be raked when stroke-play events are due to be played.
All rakes will be placed in the bunkers. the correct method of using a rake is to push the sand forward towards the face of the bunker.
Ball scoops and ball cleaners will be available to use.
 

Clubhouse

You must still sign in for track and trace purposes if you have not played golf.
Please still use the hand sanitizer prior to entering the clubhouse.
The requirement for face masks is optional.
The snooker room will re-open.
Table service or mobile ordering app will still be available if sat in the dining room, veranda, or outside.
If sat anywhere else please go to the bar to be served.

Bar opening hours are;

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 11 am to 8 pm.
Wednesday 11 am to 10 pm.
Friday and Saturday 11 am to 9 pm.
The clubhouse will open at 7 am each day and will close 30 minutes after the bar closes.
Catering will be available each day between 9.30 am and 4 pm.

Golf Course

Just a reminder, that the information center is out of bounds, new white posts have been installed to help identify this area.
I'm sure you all agree the course is looking fantastic, thanks for all the positive comments which are always passed onto the staff.
All the natural flowers are looking great, the thyme this year is particularly is very colourful.
Much work has taken place on the bunkers to make them more consistent.
The greens are being hand-mown at 4.5mm twice per week.
They are also rolled a couple of times per week and cut with the ride on mowers other times.
All tees are being divot-filled weekly.
The fairway will be divot-filled this week.
Most ditches have now been strimmed and tidied up.

Open Championship

Ollie Tanton, (one of our greenkeepers) will be raking the bunkers, this week at Royal St Georges.
I'm sure we wish him well.

Petanque court

A shed is being erected for the petanque club.
This is being paid for by the petanque club.
