RND Vs Weston-Super-Mare 36 hole friendly
RND welcomed the golfers from Weston super Mare Golf Club on Sunday for the annual fixture.
With 12 golfers from each club and the course and weather as good as it gets, the morning matches began with a greensomes format. RND took the spoils, winning five matches to Weston's one.
RND's sparkling form continued in the afternoon fourballs and again they won five matches to one for an overall 10-2 result.
Although the greens have recently been verti-drained, they played remarkably well and the Weston players commented favourably on the course conditions which although familiar to the home players, still provide a stern task on the links.
Most pleasing of all though was the margin of victory with RND having to give shots to the opposition in every match! In some cases, as many as 13!
Well done to all the players who represented our club superbly.
