Royal North Devon have won Division 1 after a tight finish with Libbaton Golf Club, its been a very long time since we have won this.
The season started in March at RNDGC and won our home fixture with Richard Basey Fisher top scoring on the day with 40 points - lying 1st in Division
The next fixture was in April at a blowy Torrington and we could only manage a 5th place finish - now lying 2nd in the league
In June we visited Libbaton and managed to win that fixture beating Libbaton into second place. - lying in 1st place
In july we visited a very wet and windy Holsworthy and managed a remarkable joint 2nd place but with libbaton winning the fixture - now lying 2nd 1/2 point behind Libbaton
The final fixture in August was at Portmore off their championship tees, it was very windy which we hoped would give us an advantage, we knew that we had to come in the top 3 and beat Libbaton, after all our players had finished we were waiting on Libbatons last player who had to score 31 or more luckily he came in with 28.
Royal North Devon 18.5 Libbaton 18 Portmore 14.5 Torrington 14 Holsworthy 10
There are two more fixtures left for potentially more silverware

Can't rate Josh highly enough. He is sensitive to the golfer in front of him, adapting his advice and comments to the swing he sees. Backing any comments up with data that is equally as sensitive - a great combo. Josh doesn't try & overhaul a swing and make you feel lost, rather he provides care
Awesome golf course in an unreal setting and very well maintained, highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. Demanding but fair course that makes you think. If you’re getting a caddie ask for Dave, great guy who knows his stuff
At points wide open. The rushes and bushes are what will swallow your ball. The thing that makes this course tricky will always be fighting the wind and judging yardage. Greens true and well paced. Starter was helpful. Clubhouse like a museum of history
