Rosebowl and Palairet matches coming up

devon golf logo

The Club have been working really hard with our Mens teams with practice evenings and training throughout the winter and hopefully this will come to fruition in the next few weeks as the first round of The Rosebowl (for which we are the current holders) and The Palairet Memorial Trophy (which we last won in 1957 but we were runners up in 1978!!).

The Rosebowl is up first and is this Sunday 19th May with first tee 0930 at Portmore againt Torrington Golf Club.

The Palairet 2nd round is then at Crediton on Sunday 2nd June againt Tiverton and starts at 1PM.

The Parker Trophy team had an excellent first round win against Tiverton and face Exeter next on a date to be fixed.

It is so important for the teams representing the Club to have supporters and caddies are always welcome (with trolleys if you prefer), so if you would like get involved and help us try to win more silverware this year please contact any of the match Captains:

Chris Brown - Parker Trophy
Richard Hughes - Palairet
Shaun Loze - Rosebowl

  • Very friendly place which still retains much of its Old world charm whilst moving into the modern times,. especially the standard and quality of the Restaurant and Social side of Golf Club Life. As far as my friends and I are concerned, It is the place to go.
  • Awesome golf course in an unreal setting and very well maintained, highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. Demanding but fair course that makes you think. If you’re getting a caddie ask for Dave, great guy who knows his stuff
