After winning both our home matches against Saunton and Tavistock our Ladies Still Cup team has qualified for the Semifinals at Churston in early September. Due to circumstances out of our control, we have had the opportunity to introduce the match-play concept, scratch golf, to several ladies with slightly higher handicap than what we normally would choose and also higher handicap than our opponents. All my players have risen to the challenge and I am very proud to report the fact that we have ...

Friday marked the first home game of the Sheelah Creasy Bowl, a Devon ladies singles match play competition for handicaps 21-36. It was a chilly start but it soon warmed up with a light wind. The course proved a step too far for the Exeter ladies who found the tight lies, bunkers and rushes galore a tough call. First out was Ruth Horn who won 6/5, Tania won 7/6, Barbara won 8/7, Pauline Marais won 6/5. We then awaited the other matches which were a little tighter. Victoria triumphed 2/1 on the 1...
The Ladies are delighted to have been able to donate the funds for this new air cleaner. The money came from the excess raised for our 150th celebrations last year. Since then we have been looking for a suitable item we could buy for use by the whole club and we hope this air cleaner will be a huge benefit to us all. Many thanks to all involved in the fundraising effort.
