Royal North Devon have won Division 1 after a tight finish with Libbaton Golf Club, its been a very long time since we have won this. Captain Michael Colwills' Annodata team kicked off a busy weekends golf for RNDGC on friday night with a cracking win 5-0 against Ilfracombe. The team of Michael Colwill won 3&2 Martin Gibbs won 2&1, Shaun Loze won 3&2, Richard Hughes won 4&3 and Gary Fisher won 3&2, we await our next opponents. North Devon League 3 ball team at Holsworthy

Royal North Devon sent two teams to Holsworthy for the NDL 3 ball team event. Team A consisting of captain Mark Luscombe, Ethan Jeffery and Kevin Rowe fared okay with 65 points with birdie machine Mark Luscombe scoring most of them. Team B consisting of Neil Armstrong, Shaun Loze and Andrew James fared better with a respectable 73 points and would have pushed the leaders if they played the par 3’s better.

On sunday in perfect golfing conditions the final league fixture was played at RNDGC with neither the league winners nor relegation sorted so all to play for. First up for RNDGC was Paul Wilson who started poorly and only had 3 points after 3 but a 2 on the 5th kick started his round and he finished with 38 points. After the challenging scoring conditions at RND in the David Lloyd Salver Medal on Saturday the team headed North across the bay to a fantastically presented East course at Saunton on Sunday 25th April for the opening round of this season’s North Devon League. Solid Selection policy leads to promotion The 2019 season kicked off in March with Royal North Devon hosting the first round of matches, with a team of mainly low handicappers and in tough conditions we ran out the winners by a considerable margin with Captain Shaun Loze top scoring on the day with 33 points pipping Ethan Jeffery on countback  winning the first individual trophy of the season also.
