Royal North Devon sent two teams to Holsworthy for the NDL 3 ball team event. Team A consisting of captain Mark Luscombe, Ethan Jeffery and Kevin Rowe fared okay with 65 points with birdie machine Mark Luscombe scoring most of them. Team B consisting of Neil Armstrong, Shaun Loze and Andrew James fared better with a respectable 73 points and would have pushed the leaders if they played the par 3’s better.
On sunday in perfect golfing conditions the final league fixture was played at RNDGC with neither the league winners nor relegation sorted so all to play for. After the challenging scoring conditions at RND in the David Lloyd Salver Medal on Saturday the team headed North across the bay to a fantastically presented East course at Saunton on Sunday 25th April for the opening round of this season’s North Devon League.
