The Ladies Presidents Trophy Team won all their group matches to qualify for the Quarter finals, they beat East Devon and went on to play Okehampton at Torquay. We had to be there by 9.30am which was a real effort for some. It was a lovely morning, not too hot or windy and the course was in excellent condition with exceptionally fast greens. The Sally Brown Foursomes was won on Saturday 14th August by Craig Brodie and Mary Harper, with a magnificent score of 48 points. President Mervyn Fudge presented the prizes along with the Ladies President’s Prize which was played in June and won by Carole Bewes with another excellent score of 48 points. This was the first prize giving at the club for many months due to Covid restrictions, and it was wonderful to see so many members and visitors in the clubhouse.
Friday marked the first match of the year for the Ladies Presidents Trophy team.This is a singles match play competition for ladies of handicap 20 and below.
