Yesterday the Sheelah Creasy team of ladies from RND travelled to Holsworthy to play in the quarter-finals at Holsworthy. This is a matchplay competition for handicaps 21 and above.  The weather was horrendous with gales and driving rain. Still Cup – Scratch singles Matchplay In the final match of the season for the Still Cup the team woke at the crack of dawn to travel down to Torquay for a 10.45 tee time. This seemed to have worked in our favour as the ladies gained a momentous 4/3 victory against defending Champions Torquay. Friday marked the first home game of the Sheelah Creasy Bowl, a Devon ladies singles match play competition for handicaps 21-36. It was a chilly start but it soon warmed up with a light wind. The course proved a step too far for the Exeter ladies who found the tight lies, bunkers and rushes galore a tough call.
