  Event two of the Winter Foursomes Series took place on Sunday 2nd December on a blustery but thankfully dry day. The scoring was excellent with most pairs taking advantage of the scoring opportunities presented down wind, with today's event being played off the Red tees.  With an excellent score of 42 points the winning pair were Chris Drew and Martin Gibbs. 40 points meant Mark Luscombe and Steve Morrish took 2nd, with Martin Butler and Shaun Loze taking the third and final prize on...

Winter Foursomes Round 1 of 5

Winter foursomes first round
Congratulations to Mark Lee and Shaun Smalldon who today won the first instalment of the 18/19 Winter Foursomes Series with an excellent 38 points. Richard Hughes and Steve Morrish came home in 2nd place with 37, and Chris Hampton and Richard Wilford completed the top 3 with 36 points.  There were no 2’s so the pot will roll over to event 2, which is on the 2nd December. Winter Foursomes 2018/19

This winter will see the return of the RND Winter Foursomes order of merit, where players earn points based on their finishing position in each of 5 events scheduled from November to March (dates below). Simon Trapnell won last years series, closely followed by Richard Hughes and Ewan Butler in 2nd and 3rd place. RND crowned champions as they clinch dramatic Rosebowl win!   On Sunday 16th September our mens team took on Saunton in the North Devon Rosebowl final at Portmore. We teed off on a windy day under dark skies, boosted by the support of a number of caddies and spectators who came along to help cheer the team on.
