Unfortunately due to the weather there were no Whisky Foursomes competition this year, the remainder of the prizes were presented by Les Webster and stand in president DIck Ford. Our fantastically successful "Get into Golf" program that we started at the beginning of 2019 has given us our first big winner! Sue Worthington was one of the Ladies that joined the club on the Get Into Golf program where for just £299 she had 14 months of membership and pretty much £299 worth of lessons thrown in! The 2019 August meeting came to a close on Friday evening with the presentation of all the trophies for the last year. There were lots of very happy golfers ! Congratulations to all the winners and all the runners up and a huge thank you to all the Club Staff, Professionals and Green Keepers who worked tirelessly to give the members such a fantastic week.
Sunday evening was the presentation for The Whisky Foursomes events which are held on the 9th and 16th December. There are also presentations to winners of the last three monthly medals, Perpetual Trophies for the years golf and plenty of other hard fought Trophies for individual, Foursomes and team golf. This winter will see the return of the RND Winter Foursomes order of merit, where players earn points based on their finishing position in each of 5 events scheduled from November to March (dates below). Simon Trapnell won last years series, closely followed by Richard Hughes and Ewan Butler in 2nd and 3rd place.
