What a most fantastic experience! We won the first round against Craigie Hill, Perth, Scotland 3/1. In the quarter finals we had to give 16 shots to a pair from South Staffs. They had reached the finals on two previous occasions and beat us 3/1. They went on to play two girls from Dumfries Golf Club in the final. South Staffs received 18 shots and sunk a putt from off the green on the 18th hole to take the title of Daily Mail Ladies Foursomes Champions 2022.
Our RNDGC members travelling support team, Sahara, Michelle and Rosemary were marvellous and encouraged us throughout the seven months of the event.
We have received so many messages of support from interested club members it has been overwhelming.
It has been the most marvellous experience, from the first round back in March against Torrington though to October at St. Pierre Golf Club, Chepstow, the finals.
In all we played 9 rounds, received 6 shots and gave 89 shots, won 8 matches and lost 1. We have met so many lovely people and would recommend it to any dedicated golfers.
Can't rate Josh highly enough. He is sensitive to the golfer in front of him, adapting his advice and comments to the swing he sees. Backing any comments up with data that is equally as sensitive - a great combo. Josh doesn't try & overhaul a swing and make you feel lost, rather he provides care
Awesome golf course in an unreal setting and very well maintained, highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. Demanding but fair course that makes you think. If you’re getting a caddie ask for Dave, great guy who knows his stuff
At points wide open. The rushes and bushes are what will swallow your ball. The thing that makes this course tricky will always be fighting the wind and judging yardage. Greens true and well paced. Starter was helpful. Clubhouse like a museum of history
