The Ladies had a great year in 2023!

Ladies golf north devon 2023

Congratulations to The RND ladies for winning the North Devon Friendly League and bringing home the Rose Bowl for the second successive year.

The team had a fantastic start to the season by winning their first four matches against Saunton and Torrington, both at home and away. This was followed by convincing home wins against Portmore 5:0 and Libbaton 4½:½. The team drew their away match against Portmore.

By the beginning of September, with only one match left to play, the team was fairly confident of securing an overall win for the season. The last match away against Libbaton, resulted in their only defeat of the year.

It was the turn of RND to host the end of season Jamboree when teams from the competing clubs get together for a fun round of golf followed by a meal and presentation of the day’s prizes. Saunton, Portmore, Torrington and RND were represented with the Libbaton ladies unable attend due to illness.

NDFL Captain Liz Fielder declared the RND ladies to be outright league winners and presented the Rose Bowl to Ruth Davies, RND Lady Captain and Captain of the NDFL team.

All in all a great year with the team looking forward to defending the title again in 2024.
