RND Ladies Still Cup team has qualified for the Devon Semi Finals

RND LogoAfter winning both our home matches against Saunton and Tavistock our Ladies Still Cup team has qualified for the Semifinals at Churston in early September. Due to circumstances out of our control, we have had the opportunity to introduce the match-play concept, scratch golf, to several ladies with slightly higher handicap than what we normally would choose and also higher handicap than our opponents.

All my players have risen to the challenge and I am very proud to report the fact that we have reached the semi finals and we will be playing against East Devon.

I am sure you will all wish us good luck, and we will need it playing some very competent golf ladies. That said, match play is never straight forward so we will give it a good go and continue to believe and aim to achieve.

  • Must visit, RND is the oldest golf club in England and has excellent facilities and practice areas. You get to share the course with ponies roaming close by and at the end of the round enjoy some lovely food from the restaurant whilst looking out across the horizon. Wonderful staff, help you enjoy the experience of this treasured gem.
  • At points wide open. The rushes and bushes are what will swallow your ball. The thing that makes this course tricky will always be fighting the wind and judging yardage. Greens true and well paced. Starter was helpful. Clubhouse like a museum of history
