Our Ladies Still Cup team unfortunately lost their semi-final match against East Devon at Churston on Thursday 9th September. The team put up a brave fight, but with many of the eligible players not being available it was a very tall order to win the tie. After winning both our home matches against Saunton and Tavistock our Ladies Still Cup team has qualified for the Semifinals at Churston in early September. Still Cup – Scratch singles Matchplay In the final match of the season for the Still Cup the team woke at the crack of dawn to travel down to Torquay for a 10.45 tee time. The Still Cup, which is the Ladies singles scratch matchplay, started their season yesterday. We had a depleted team at Saunton missing Paula, Liz M and Gro. The weather was very windy and as they started teeing off it started to rain heavily. Liz Bird [5] lead the way playing in her debut for the Still Cup, her opponent was Abi Moyes.
